About Me
Hello, my name is Erika Omae, and I was born and raised in Carrollton, TX. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma in May 2018 with a Bachelor’s of Architecture degree from an accredited 5-year program. I currently work at Spur Design as an Architectural Designer in Oklahoma City.
Coming from a diverse, ethnic background of Japanese, Chinese, and Peruvian descent in addition to being fluent in Spanish, I am passionate about learning and embracing different cultures. During my time as a student, I held a position as the President of NOMAS (National Organization of Minority Architecture Students), and I strived to promote equality within the field of architecture while also expressing my passion for design.
My love for architecture has started from a very young age, and I am grateful to genuinely enjoy this subject more than just a job. I do strive to pursue licensure in architecture and continue to grow in my career. I believe architecture is the perfect medium that allows one to express their creativity while also impacting people’s lives everyday.
